Where is the Festival located?

Is the Tom Petty Birthday Bash at Depot Park and the events at Heartwood Soundstage the same thing?
No. The Tom Petty Birthday Bash is a FREE, 3-day music festival where everyone is invited. The events at Heartwood Soundstage are separate. 

 

Do I still need a ticket if I want the FREE General Admission Ticket?

We are encouraging festival-goers to register for a free ticket so we can get a headcount. You do not need to ticket to come to the festival though. 

 

Where do I pick up my items from the Petty 4 The People Packages?

For the Jammin' Me and You Got Lucky Packages, you will receive them the day you arrive at the festival at the Petty Package Pickup Tent, located inside Depot Park. All package holders will receive an email about where to pick them up on-site at Depot Park. For The Best of Everything and It's Good To Be King Package, you will have the chance to receive them at the Kick-Off party on Friday, October 18. 

 

How much do tickets cost?
This festival has two types of  ticketing options:

1. Makin' Some Noise General Admission Ticket is FREE. 

2. Petty For The People Packages have four different price levels. Your support will benefit a local Gainesville program called UF Health Shands Arts in Medicine.

Parking? 

Parking in downtown Gainesville is difficult on any given day. There is an overflow parking lot for Depot Park that is free. it will fill up quickly. There is also free on-street parking around the park. The "It's Good To Be King" Package guarentees parking for the three day festival. If you are a local, we are encouraging you to uber or lyft, walk, carpool or ride your bike. Is the UF Health Shands Arts In Medicine program a nonprofit?

Yes, Arts in Medicine falls under UF Health’ 501C3 as a not-for-profit organization. Click here for more information

 

Will you be selling tickets at the door?
This is a free festival, but there are a limited number of Petty For The People Packages available. They will sell out quickly, so we are encouraging you to buy early if you'd like special access and extra perks. 

 

What are the times of the festival? 

Friday, Oct. 18 VIP Kick-off Party 5-7pm ( For Best Of Everything & It's Good To Be King Packages and sponsors)

Friday, Oct. 18, 7pm-11pm, Saturday, Oct. 19, 1pm-11pm and Sunday, Oct. 20, 2pm-10:30pm

Are children able to attend? 
Yes. We will have a kids area during the daytime hours of the festival. 

 

Are dogs allowed at this event?
No. 

 

Will there be bike racks
Yes, bike racks are available inside Depot Park. 

 

Am I allowed to bring in my own coolers?

No. Beer and wine will be sold throughout Depot Park and food vendors and trucks will be on site. The Boxcar also sells food and drinks. There will be water stations available. 

 

Am I allowed to bring chairs and blankets?

Yes! This is a music festival in a big open park on a grass field, so we encourage everyone to bring their own chairs, blankets, etc for seating and comfort.

 

Will there be alcohol? 

Yes. There will be beer and wine for sale throughout Depot Park. Bringing in outside alcohol is not allowed.

 

Will food be available? 

Yes, there will be food vendors and trucks on-site and there are also many restaurants and bars within walking distance. 

 

How can I obtain press or photo credentials?

Safety & Security? 
There will be police officers and security guards throughout the festival. 

 

What if it rains? 

The event is rain or shine. We will only have to cancel or postpone if the weather condition creates a danger to the crowd. 

 

Refunds?

Tickets are nonrefundable.

VENDOR INQUIRY

We are currently accepting food trucks/vendors of all types and art and crafts vendors. If you would like to be a part of the Bash at Depot Park, please fill out an inquiry form and we will contact you with information and an application. 

We have a limited amount of spots. We don't overcrowd the area but we do offer a variety of options for our guests.

 

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS

The Bash has all types of volunteer positions for the festival. From helping with marketing and merchandise to assisting artists in the Green Room and helping with the pre-party. Volunteers receive extra perks as well.
